My Three Favorite Books of the Summer (so far)

We’re gonna jump right in here. These books are in no particular order, just listed as I thought of them. This novel, The Covenant of Water was a book club pick and I was very hesitant to pick it up because I generally don’t enjoy Oprah picks. (I know that’s a spicy take going up against the queen bee but usually I feel like her books are morose.) If you have a love of human anatomy, history and/or people in general I believe this is a must read. I’m so thankful my friend Jennifer Lawson picked it!

Oh Jayber. Sweet sweet Jayber. I’m so thankful I got this book as a gift from my friends Rory Feek and Rebecca Lamb. I have always been a fan of Mr. Berry’s nonfiction work and didn’t even realize he had fiction novels out. I’m so grateful I was able to read this book! I will also say this book is a fantastic audible choice. 

I gave The Keeper of Lost Things by Ruth Hogan a 5/5 rating (all three of these actually) because it was so different and I hadn’t read anything like it before. Just a sweet story and I’m glad I had the opportunity to visit with these lovely characters. Also I'm a sucker for a beautiful cover and this book has one that's just breathtaking!
